Bears are opportunistic omnivores who live to eat anything and everything. If they learn from experience that they can easily find their next meal in undefended human territory, then they will happily raid our garbage cans and kitchens.
If, however, we act as dominant bears and defend our “food caches” using our tools, intelligence, and determination, they will find food elsewhere. Bears who become too comfortable foraging in our territory are eventually killed. Help us change that.
