There are many ways you can help the BEAR League protect the bears of the Lake Tahoe basin and beyond! |
The easiest way is to JOIN US and start learning about what we do. Becoming a member is simple and can be done right now, on line in seconds. And once you have joined you can be trained to be an aversion specialist and get hands on experience working with bears in your community. It's not for everyone, but those who do it find it quite stimulating and a great way to foster the kind of understanding for these great animals that few amongst us truly understand. We are also in need of specialized services. If you are a lawyer, printer, veterinarian, accountant, publicist, story teller, teacher, someone with experience working with children or if you know someone with any of these skills and think they might be willing to help, we would like to hear from you. We rely completely on the magnanimity of our members for operating expenses and many of the functions we perform in local communities, such as supplying aversion equipment to local law enforcement agencies or the enormous amounts of literature we pass out at schools and public events. So, if you can donate a little of your time or services we could use the help. We have a very diverse and creative membership that is always coming up with new ways to help. Give us a hand, you'll be glad you did. |
